The transformation

Legacy on-premises workloads and content-delivery paths moved to AWS, then the architecture was redesigned around managed storage, event-driven compute, orchestration, analytics, APIs, and content delivery.

The largest saving came from architecture change rather than tactical right-sizing. Multi-account governance, monitoring, delivery automation, and recovery supported the new operating model.
